_Title:_ Secure in God's Love
_Scripture:_ Romans 8:38-39 (NIV) - "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
_Devotional:_
Have you ever felt like your world is crumbling around you? Like everything you thought was secure is being shaken? It's in those moments that we're reminded of the importance of finding our security in God.
In Romans 8:38-39, the apostle Paul writes that nothing - not even death or life, angels or demons, the present or the future - can separate us from the love of God. This is a powerful reminder that our security is not found in our circumstances, but in God's love for us.
So how can we find security in God's love?
1. _Remember God's promises_: Take time to reflect on God's promises to you, as recorded in Scripture. Remember that He is faithful and will always keep His promises.
2. _Trust in God's character_: God is a loving, gracious, and merciful God. Trust in His character, and remember that He always has your best interests at heart.
3. _Rest in God's presence_: Take time to quiet your mind and focus on God's presence in your life. Remember that He is always with you, and that you are never alone.
_Prayer:_
Dear Heavenly Father, I come to You today seeking security in Your love. Help me to remember Your promises, to trust in Your character, and to rest in Your presence. Thank you for being my rock and my refuge. Amen.
_Reflection Questions:_
1. What are some things that make you feel insecure or uncertain?
2. How can you remember God's promises and trust in His character in the midst of those things?
3. What are some ways you can rest in God's presence and find security in His love?
_Action Step:_
Take a few minutes to reflect on God's promises to you, as recorded in Scripture. Write down some of your favorite promises, and post them in a place where you can see them often. Ask God to help you remember these promises and to trust in His character, even in the midst of uncertainty.
